The UAW’s decision to take strike action at the Toledo Assembly Complex (TAC), has now resulted in further temporary layoffs. Stellantis confirms that it will layoff an additional 100 employees at the Toledo (Ohio) Machining Plant, effective Oct. 23, bringing the total number of plant employees impacted to 170. The facility supplies components for the Jeep® Wrangler, Jeep Wrangler 4xe and Jeep Gladiator and has reached maximum inventory level.
Across its facilities in three states, the Company now has 1,520 employees on temporary layoff. Stellantis continues to closely monitor the impact of the UAW strike action on our manufacturing operations.
