Information Regarding the Negotiations
Stellantis faces competition from external companies, but also from other manufacturing facilities across the company. This requires our U.S. facilities to build high quality vehicles that customers want and can afford to buy.
Product is allocated to plants on a competitive basis. Every plant must earn the right to build a future model. Product allocation decisions are data driven and not based on previous model allocation or history, which is in the best interest of our customers and employees.
To earn future product, plants must perform in the following areas:
In order to remain competitive in a global marketplace, we are reviewing costs in all operations across our North American footprint – engineering, purchasing, etc. We know EVs will cost 40% more than their ICE counterparts and those are costs we cannot pass on to our customers. The company must improve the efficiency of its labor costs and reduce waste.
We need a workforce that is efficient, flexible and engaged. We believe paying a competitive wage and providing industry-leading benefits make us a socially responsible employer.
