Colleagues:
I am writing today with an update on the progress of our contract negotiations with the UAW.
Our bargaining team was hard at work over the weekend meeting with the UAW. There was good energy among both teams and great momentum to reach an agreement as we head into the final days before the contract expires Thursday night.
I’m pleased to report that the Stellantis and UAW subcommittees have reached tentative agreements in a number of important areas, including health and safety, which is of critical importance as the well-being of our people is at the core of our corporate values.
I remain proud of both teams for their commitment to reaching a fair agreement that responsibly addresses the concerns of our represented employees and better positions Stellantis to meet the challenges of the U.S. market.
As we continued resolving issues at the subcommittee level, we received a counter to our economic proposal Sunday afternoon. In response, we intend to pass a second offer to the UAW this morning. There is still more work to do, but we know that Stellantis and the UAW have a shared interest in these discussions: reaching an agreement that secures the future for our employees and their families.
We are on a good path and remain committed to reaching a tentative agreement without a work stoppage that would negatively impact our employees and our customers.
We will keep sharing updates. In the meantime, if you have questions, I encourage you to visit the 411 on the Hub.
Thank you again for your efforts,
Tobin Williams
